ice maker does not make ice.can turn power switch ...

ice maker does not make ice.can turn power switch off/on will fill for a half second or so then ejects the small cubes from the last short fill with the on/off switch but does nothing else until I manually cycle power switch. The freezer is about 5* or less,tried reset with paddle think I need new ice maker thanks,Kevin
