want to know what factory temp settings should be GE bottom freezer with ice maker just 2 controls top in fridge 0 to 9 no trouble but friend had his mothers on 9 for both controls and was freezing ice maker feed spout works great know turned down to 6 no thermometer what was factory settings is digital display

5 Most refrigerators are set to the middle setting from the factory, so from 0-9 the setting would be 5. When you first install a fridge, you let it cool for a day before adjusting the temperatures. The temperature in the freezer should be between 9 and 19 degrees, and the fridge should be between 38 to 42 degrees Fahrenheit.
