I have this same problem on my JVB93, humming but ...

I have this same problem on my JVB93, humming but no action. I have had the problem before but it has managed to clear itself. The installation made by the builder is very messy so it is not easy to access the working parts under the cook-top, so where should I start? Manual gives no information.
