This DW has been wonderful but is now almost 14 years old. It has developed a loud motor (pump) noise when running. It still works but as you know it is usually a very quiet machine. I need to fix it as any new ones would not match my front panel insert. I am a do it yourselfer. How hard is it to replace the pump and is it still available. Are there other things I should be looking for?

5 I believe these models - ZBD4100 and ZBD4300 were manufactured in Germany by Bosch for GE. Recently we could not find the water inlet valve for this unit. It is part number WD37X95 and is called a Magnet Valve. It is listed as no longer available. All parts sellers are unable to provide it. It appeared we would have to junk our otherwise usable dishwasher. I accidentally happened upon a photo of a Bosch magnet valve /water inlet valve. The Bosch part is 092188. The part looked identical. Found it locally for about $45. (instead of the listed prices of anywhere from 75-175 for the unavailable GE WD37X95) and installed it. The parts are identical. So, if you have problems finding parts for your GE Monogram ZBD4100 or ZBD4300, you should check out comparable Bosch parts and will probably have success. No one, by the way, seems to be aware of the above, and I'm sure many good dishwashers are being thrown out. You can check this out easily, by the way, by looking on the repairclinic.com website. Just enter the part numbers WD37X95 and 092188 and you will see that they are identical. Hope this saves some of you from replacing your dishwashers. Took me 4 days before I accidentally stumbled on this info.
