We have a GE Monogram 42" side by side that has water dripping down the left side of the freezer. We cannot figure out what is causing this. Model ZISW42DYB. We have the ice maker water turned off and has no water coming into the refrigerator.

5 IF THE DRAIN PAN UNDER THE COMPRESSOR IS DRY THE CAUSE IS A BLOCKED DRAIN TUBE FROM THE DEFROST UNIT. IT BACKS UP AND CAUSES ICICLES AND DRIPPING WATER IN THE FREEZER UNTIL IT NO LONGER WORKS.

5 UNPLUG THE UNIT FOR 24 HOURS TO LET IT DEFROST. WHILE OFF REMOVE THE SOUND PANELS FROM AROUND THE COMPRESSOR TO ACCESS THE DRAIN TUBE CLAMP. LOOSEN AND CLEAN OUT AND FLUSH THE DRAIN TUBE.

5 THE GRILL IS A BEAR TO REMOVE - IT IS LIKE A CHINESE FINGER TRAP (TAKE OUT THE THREE VISIBLE SCREWS FIRST). THOUGHT I WOULD BREAK THE GRILL BEFORE IT WAS PRIED OFF. IT GOES BACK ON VERY EASY - BUT LOCKS IMMEDIATELY IN BACK PLACE. GOODLUCK

1 I have a GE momogram 48 side by side that has been apparently leaking for 8 years. I had someone pull it out and the whole wall was covered in mold and the floor was ruined. I called GE. Waiting to see what they are going to do. Obviously this was a very poorly designed unit. I have seen so many complaints on this model I only wish I had found this earlier
