The ice maker started registering E001 and we are unable to determine the problem. There is no manual to attempt to find out the problem. The machine is new.

0 I have the same error code. The actuator arm is not contacting a sensor for the ice dumping senquence. From what I have observed, after the ice was finished, the tray that dumps it into the basket stopped as soon as it got to the end of the dumping area. And i also did not see any instructions in the owners manual that had to do with the error code E001. If anybody has any tips that would help, please relay them to me and I will do the same if I learn of anything that corrects the problem.

0 I have a friend who is a refrigeration tech looking at it. He has tried contacting Haier by email and phone to get a support tech to give the code that will clear the error. It is a cycling error and the only other option is to reset the machine each time and it will make a new batch of ice. Will keep advised if I find anything new. I'm told that consumer reports has gotten lots of complaints on no response from the manufacturer and they don't respond to emails.
