I have just purchased this product and have tried to use it twice. Both times the ice cream mixture froze so quickly to the sides of the bowl that the paddle could not turn. I tried the first time with the mixture chilled, and the second time with the mixture a room temperature. It freezes to quickly and so hard, I cannot remove it from the bowl for over an hour unless I set the bowl in warm water.

0 I've included a link to a 1987 newspaper article where I found the following information. In this link it explains the chemistry of making ice cream. And in this explanation it suggests that freezing too quickly might be the result of adding too much salt to the brine. In my opinion this might also come from adding to much brine to begin with, but I haven't tested that theory yet. Hope this helps.
