Question About Hotpoint Range EGR3000
HELP - Can't open the door or turn off oven...

I used the self cleaning and the oven is very very hot. The door won't open and the lever is stuck on lock. This seems dangerous and now we have a vigil watch to ensure there is not a house fire due to the oven. Please respond on how we can open the door without breaking it..

0 Okay, we became overly anxious because the oven was very hot and stuck on lock. We waited and the lock opened. We are okay but appreciate your responses. This was the 1st time we used the self cleaning option and it was scary not knowing how to open the door in the event of a fire. There was a lot of smoke but it soon died out. Thank you again.
