1 take the cover off the back of the machine and plug it in and run it. Watch the tray as it move notice the wing outside the tub that touches the 2 censors. As it drops to dump the ice you will hear a click that should be the forward censor. Then notice when the tray comes up to wait on ice you hear another click it touches the opposite censor and should call on water. if you do not hear the second click try to lift the metal tab on the censor and wiggle the little black button under the tab till it pops up and begins clicking once again. With any luck like I just had you will be producing ice once again. If you run the machine and only hear one click this is your problem because the second click is the call for more water to make the ice.

0 I have been tracking down the same problem and, like most other likely problems, the solution is not in the manual. Put a half and half vinegar and water mix in the unit and run it without the ice basket for a day to clean out mineral deposits. Scrub the sensor eyes with a toothbrush dipped in the vinegar solution to clean them too and also, while the unit is in the freeze cycle, gently brush the sensing probe where the water comes out during the fill cycle.

0 Your problem is likely the thermistor, that was what was wrong with mine. I took the ice maker apart and traced the lead that went near the ice bin. I couldn't find a thermistor locally so I ordered one from overseas.... I think I paid $1.75 including shipping. If you don't care about it cutting off (just be aware if it gets too full the ice it can damage the dumping arm) you can just cut the thermistor off and splice the 2 wires together for now. Just be sure not to let it overfill. Hope this helps.

0 Try more light. Darkness makes the sensor not work correctly.
