Our IN SINK ERATOR PRO SS has no sound when turned...

Our IN SINK ERATOR PRO SS has no sound when turned on and still cannot get unjammed when I use the key underneath the unit. When I put my hand inside, nothing seems to be jammed there? Any ideas, please? Thank you!
