5 Remove the front grill from the microwave by pulling it off. Remove the screw securing the control panel to the microwave using a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the control panel away from the appliance, and then unplug the wiring harness from the control panel. Remove the old fuse from the box in the appliance behind the control panel. Place the new fuse in the microwave. Plug the wiring harness into the control panel -- and then install the control panel and tighten the retaining screw.Place the front grill on the microwave and snap it into place. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet, or turn the circuit breaker on to restore power to the microwave. Program the microwave according to the manufacturer's instructions
