How to unlock the hob...

Hi i locked the hob and now if will not unlock itself so cannot use! Have tried turning off at the plug several times and when it is turned back on at the plug I see E39. Can you assist? My email is busfieldkim@gmail.com and your help would bf much appreciated!! Xx
