Our John Lewis Microwave oven JLFSMWS001 bought in...

Our John Lewis Microwave oven JLFSMWS001 bought in October 2009. It has no manufacturer or model number. The push button assembly refuses to open the door .It opens easily using the lever once inside the casing. The problem appears to be immediately behind the door release pad. Any thoughts?
