I have a failed plug in temperature controller for...

I have a failed plug in temperature controller for a kambrook deep frier model p88100. A closer inspection shows what appears to be an open circuit diode between the active lead and the central plug in contact. Could you assist in positively identifying this part. Sincerely, Fred Rubly
