the fan in my Kenmore elite convection oven is how...

the fan in my Kenmore elite convection oven is howiling and squealling. The fan will not shut off. If will not even let you just use the bake feature instead of the convection feature. My question is. Can you safely disconnect the fan so that I can cook my Christmas Turkey
