Question About Kenmore Garbage Disposal None
can it be fixed...

My disposal just hums when turned on. Is it time for a new one? Reset button has been pushed.

5 I followed the instructions here. Unplug the disposal first. Then stick a 1/4 inch allen wrench in the bottom of the disposal (under the sink). Turn it several times and it should lodge the plate inside loose. Take out whatever trash is there. Plug it back in, and turn the disposal on. Mine worked. I'm not exactly what you'd call handy... so you can do it too.

4 searched on e-net pieced together trouble shooting.if it hums and dont spin u have a jammed disposal.
