convert to outside vent

0 This is fairly easy to do. Our installer didn't connect the exhaust to the outside duct, so the smoke blew back into the kitchen. Talking to various people, I find that this is a really common problem. To change the exhaust, you need to drop the oven, take off the top exhaust block plate, and re-hang the oven. If I remember right, you have to make a couple other small adjustments to get the air to blow out the top, but they're obvious when you have the oven on the table. To drop the oven, get a helper, and unplug the oven, remove the top grill (screws on top), remove the top anchor screws (inside the cabinet), pull the lever, and move the oven off the wall bracket to a protected surface. Re-hang in reverse order.
