Question About Kenmore Microwave Oven 665.60612000
F6 Error Code...

My microwave is displaying an F6 code on the display. The unit runs continously when the door is closed and does not display the time when running. The interior does not come on when running and I have to leave the door open or unplug the unit to keep it from running.

0 F6 means the cook relay is shorted. When an oven is coming on by itself, this is very dangerous and can result in a fire. So please leave it unplugged until it is repaired. I would bet your cooktop lights recently went out. It's very common for that surge to damage other parts on the board. But we regularly repair such control boards for $39.95.
