Question About Kenmore Microwave Oven 87002
Grilling Rack...

This manual is useless. When grilling do I use the metal rack and what do I put on top? The glass tray or the baking tray? Also, when using the convection oven how do you adjust your recipes? Thanks

0 I just got the microwave because my 10 year old microwave was losing power and I thought it would be good to have a convection oven too. But I find the microwave is LESS powerful than the one I owned. AND I AGREE - the manual is completely useless. They included a wire rack and a metal round tray and no explanation at all about when to use what item. The other thing I don't like about the microwave functionality is that there is no shortcut to quickly microwave in set increments of time (like a 30s, 1 min, 2 min, 3 min, etc). You have to hit POWER button every time then punch in the time and hit START. Only then can you add a minute. But by then you've already done all the work so adding a minute is no help. I am looking online for other microwave-convection ovens as I think I'm going to return this. The only plus was that I got it on sale and it was quite cheap compared to other name brand models here in Toronto. But this is not the way to build a brand on "cheap price" vs on "quality"!
