I have a Kenmore micro wave model # 566-8868410 w...

I have a Kenmore micro wave model # 566-8868410 with a mfg date of 1983. It still works well - but, is falling apart a bit - the interior plastic shelf that shields the fan has come down - exposing the blades. I am amazed that this unit has lasted 30 years. Lastly, what can I expect from the newer models of Kenmore micro waves?
