5 Enter desired cook time. Then press "Power", then press "5", display should show cooking time with "power 50" below it. Then press start. You can follow these for 10, 20, 30, etc by entering "Power..1" for 10% and so on. Hope that helps! My expertise/qualifications in this is I have owned this microwave for five plus years and use it on a daily basis
