My Kenmore microwave model 721.66339 (True Cook Pl...

My Kenmore microwave model 721.66339 (True Cook Plus) has put the child lock onto itself and sometimes it lets me unlock it so I can use it, but most of the time it doesn't? Does this need repair or replacing? I have tried several times unplugging it to see if that would reset it but that has not helped either.
