I was compacting the trash and it has locked up. The door is partially open but it not do anything else. It has jammed.

5 You need to unjam the trash compactor. Unplug the machine jam open the door. And clear out any and all trash that you can see. When it stops or jams up it could also mean that you need to grease the arms of the machine but try that second.
