There is no accompanying manual for my Kenwood mic...

There is no accompanying manual for my Kenwood microwave oven model K20MSS10 - and i can not get it to work, the buttons function, the light inside turns on and the counter counts down, but it is not heating the food. It is a brand new microwave. Is there a manual available or does it sound as thought the machine is not working anyway?
