5 It's not likely that both elements broke at once, but it is possible. You can test them by removing them and checking them with a multi-meter for continuity. If you get a reading then the elements are ok. If they don't register then they are bad. Is any other part of the range getting power? If so, then one leg of your power could be out, which could be caused by a bad breaker, or a bad connection at the receptacle. You can test the voltage at the receptacle with the volt meter settings of the multi-meter. Between the two load wires you should have 240 volts. Between each load and the neutral you should have 120 volts. If you only get 120 volts from one and zero from the other then try resetting the breaker (both legs are tied together, but I have seen them where one leg trips but the other doesn't). After resetting the breaker and you check the stove for function, and you still have problems you can pull out the receptacle (after turning off the breaker) and check for a loose wire. If everything is ok, then you can test the breaker, but you may want a professional to do that for you (you may want one to check the receptacle too, just depends on your comfort level). If you are getting full power from the receptacle, check the connections on the terminal block in the stove (the part that the power cord is connected to). If everything there is ok, then it is most likely your thermostat/electronic control board and it will need to be replaced.
