After brewing it won't take up water and keeps gri...

After brewing it won't take up water and keeps grinding until turned off. We have descaled and that helps for a week, then it's back to the grinding. Anyone experience this or have a solution?? Also, all water put into in is run through a Brita water filter pitcher first.
