4 I received a reply from Keurig. They said that there is nothing you can do to drain it, but to wrap it properly and make sure you descale the coffee maker if it goes unused for a long time.

0 I have the same question...how do I drain the water inside?

0 I have a Keurig B60. In the water reservoir is a float sensor that indicates the reservoir is low on water. Plug in the machine and let it heat up. With the reservoir in place on the machine, reach your hand in and lift the float sensor to the top. With your other hand brew the largest cup. It will drain the internal tank. You may feel some hot droplets from the steam but I only felt two during the process. You can do it second time to get the last 1/4 inch of water. If you do a second cup, it will continue to try and pour a cup until you manually stop it with the power button. If you have the time, let it air dry for a day or two.

-1 This is a disadvantage because if you are storing it in cold weather it will free and break! How poorly designed was this unit?
