my model b44 won't heat. the heating light comes o...

my model b44 won't heat. the heating light comes on for about 2 seconds then goes out. this unit is several years old but rarely used (40 times total). I removed the bottom plate and there is no indication of charring in fact the wiring looks brand new. is there a known fix?
