5 I have actually run into this problem with Kitchenaide dishwashers. I could not find any problems with the door seal, which is the first thing you should check. What I found with my washer was that the machine was tilted too far forward, so I adjusted the feet so it tilted back. Also check your drain tube for clogs and backflow issues. You need to have an air gap in your drain tube so water doesn't backflow into the machine. The last thing to check is the overflow float sensor. It can get gunked up and not rise with the water level. Your problem will be in one of those areas.
