Question About KitchenAid Dishwasher 8531654

Button selector lights come on when buttons are pressed, but after closing the door it does not seem to signal it to turn on? I heard from someone that the switch may not be making contact at the latch? Please advise and also send me the manual and diagrams of switch. Thank you Jeff 949-433-9833 sagertenterprise@gmail.com
