ice does not slide down completely from condenser ...

ice does not slide down completely from condenser plate to wire cutters, causing the water resevoir to empty. Have scrubbed plate with a pad and ran 2 bottles of cleaner thru it, but it still occasionally hangs up. what else or how can I clean the ice plate to allow ice to slide down completely
