Installed icemaker in Kitchenaid refrigerator side...

Installed icemaker in Kitchenaid refrigerator side by side and icemaker won't initiate. Do I have to unlock the icemaker before it initiates? Refrigerator KSRG25FKSS16. Replacement kit 2198597A.
