0 I replaced the plastic bowl lift arm and can now lift the bowl, but it will not STAY up!

0 FOUND IT! On a close examination of the parts manual, one of them showed a cotter pin on the bowl lift rod between the bowl lift lever and the bowl lift bracket attached to the bowl support. (this is not shown on manuals from OTHER sites) Somehow this pin got deformed and pushed through the bracket where it jammed. Pulled it out and installed a new one ABOVE the bracket and all is fine!
