Leaking Oil...

My mixer is leaking oil when in the up right position. What do I do?

0 I just called KitchenAid CS today 1/2/09 about this issue. I'm told that 1/4 c. of extra oil isin the motor for this reason. If you have less than 1/4 c leaking, you can run the motor weekly to prevent recurrence. Right now, run the unit on speed 10 for 3 minutes, wait 30 minutes and then run the motor on speed 10 for 3 more minutes. Then run it weekly to prevent leakage and to circulate the oil throughout the motor on a regular basis if you are not going to be using it frequently and regularly. 800-541-6390 for customer service They can give you a number of a factory authoring service center in your area if you are leaking more than 1/4 c. in amount.
