0 This is the procedure I used to successfully fix the loose door handle on my single oven, stainless steel, Kitchen Aid Superba. To do any door handle repair or cleaning you first have to take the door off of the oven. To do this, open the oven door to its first stop point, about 45 degrees open. Grab both sides of the door and lift up slightly. The door hinges will start to slide out. When they do, push the door down slightly. This will release the hinges and the door will come off the oven. Set the door on a padded surface to do any repair work. At the bottom of the door will be 4 screws. Remove these screws and the side panels. The top section of the door will lift off allowing access to the door handle screws. Use extreme caution when lifting the door assembly without the side panels attached. The metal door frame edges are sharp and can easily cut hands and fingers. At this point you can also access the glass panels for cleaning by further disassembling the door. Reassemble the door when the repair or door handle is tightened. Re-attaching the door to the oven is easier than taking it off. Just insert the door hinges (they should be at about a 45 degree angle to the door) in the slots and push the base of the door forward toward the oven. The hinges will reengage and the oven door and door hinges should easily slide into place. Open and close the oven door several times to make sure the door moves freely and forms a tight seal on the oven.
