Every few weeks I notice a large ice dam built up in the freezer below the ice maker. I watched the ice maker after it ejected the cubes and began refilling; I noticed a trickle of water flowing down the back corner of the freezer and collecting on the bottom shelf. Any ideas what can cause this?

0 Try looking at your water line. The clear lines tend to rot and may need to be replaced. You can pick this up at a HomeDepot or Lowes. This is the only thing I can think of without actually looking at the ice maker itself. Hope this helps.
