When you open the door past 90 degrees, there is a definite "clunk" as the plastic shim (the one that the pin at the bottom of the door fits into) shifts sideways. This is the 2nd fridge: the first one was replaced because there were deep scratches in the enamel at the top of the fridge under the magnetic gasket. It looks like metal filings were picked up when they reversed the door and the vibration during shipping caused the filings to wear through the paint. I'm wondering if--when they reversed the door this time--they dropped a shim or something from the bottom door hinge. It's not clear from the manual (although it does say that there is a shim on some models). thanks, roberto
