5 Your house valve may not be totally closed (bad seal or something) letting a small bit of water through. Disconnect the line to the fridge completely (in the back) to be sure. That way even if the fridge solenoid valve is bad AND the house valve is bad you won't get dripping. If you know the valve is good, there are times when the water filter will have air trapped in it letting the water in the line drip out slowly until it's finally empty. Pull any filters you have also.
