water leaking from built in Kitchenaid side by sid...

water leaking from built in Kitchenaid side by side. I have repair scheduled. In meantime, I turned water off to house, but it was still leaking, possibly because I pushed a pan underneath and may have wiggled the drip pan? Is it safe to tuck a towel underneath overnight? We were unable to slide the refrigerator out. it is built in.
