setting timer...

do you set the control on auto or prog. Also what does the icon that looks like a pie with a wedge cut out?

0 Once you set the time on the coffee maker, you set the "Auto On" by pressing the prog button briefly. Adjust the hours by pressing the h/min button, then accept the hour by pressing the prog button. Now press the h/min button to set the minutes, and press the prog button to accept. The symbol you're referring to is most likely a clock face, indicating the coffee machine is now programmed to come on at your programmed time. Pressing the h/min button toggles the auto start on/off. To reprogram the time, just press the prog button briefly and repeat the procedure above. My problem was forgetting how to set the clock. (The machine must be off. Press and hold the prog button for about three seconds, then set the time as described above for setting the auto start.) I had misplaced the manual, but what once was lost, is now found after a couple of years.
