In August 2010 this toaster was UNPLUGGED when about 5 minutes after use the toaster blew up and started a HUGW fire. Had we not been home our house woud have burned down. The fire reacheed to the ceiling and up the kitchen cabinets. Luckily, I grabbed the toaster with my hands and threw it in the sink and poured water on it. KRUPS refuses to believ me and will not even replace the toaster. Who cares!! I wouldn't want another one if you paid me.
