5 For every .6 oz of water add 1 table spoon ground coffee (rough ground, not super smooth/fine). first, add the ground coffee to the pitcher. heat some water, and pour into the pitcher. (water must be hot but not boiling). Stir the coffee and water. Place cap on pitcher, and let it for 4 minutes. Slowly (with only the pressure of your hand) push down the filter through the handle on top of cap. Voila! yummy french pressed coffee ready to drink!
