Question About Magic Chef Range 68HK-6TXW
temp control...

I checked the sensor and its OK. Oven temp always way lower than that set. Over along time it gradually comes closer. Another symptom is the broiler burner does not stay no 100% of the time when broiling on high. I tried to take the control board out but I am unable to get the cook top off. HELP

0 i have the same stove and the same problem--was in the house when we bought it. it has had very, very little use but i noticed about 4 years ago that the oven temperature was much lower than setting--cheesecake would not bake. before that oven was used occasionally to keep food warm--may not have been accurate then but didn't notice. there is no local or even nearby dealer so i let it slide since i don't use it much. recently a new problem developed, even though the oven has not been used for years. a fan in the oven runs at random. i can find no way to stop it. i would appreciate advise on any of this and will, of course, pass on anything i find out.
