My dish washer won't start when I push the start b...

My dish washer won't start when I push the start button though the lights are on on the settings other than start. The problem with the appliance began after the washer just took off a coulpe of times by it's self, now I can't get it to start when I want it to!

0 I had the same problem, I unplugged the dishwasher, firmly pressed the operator panel working from center out towards sides, (appears that air pockets had been trapped, causing the problem). i Did that over 3 years ago, and only had to repeat that 1 time since.
