My WU900 Maytag Dishwasher makes a noise, but does...

My WU900 Maytag Dishwasher makes a noise, but doesn't start normally. Usually it sounds like it is pumping out water and then it sounds like water is coming in and begins to wash. Today the water is not coming in. What is wrong with it?
