the cleaning arm on the bottom of the dishwasher n...

the cleaning arm on the bottom of the dishwasher needs cleaned out. there is a plastic knob that fastens this arm to the bottom of the machine. does this plastic knob screw off to allow me to disconnect the arm so I can clean it out? I do not want to strip of break my machine.
