I have a Maytag oven MGM575BDB that the oven will ...

I have a Maytag oven MGM575BDB that the oven will not come on. The igniter comes on and is very bright but the oven will not light. Is the igniter the problem or could there be another reason? I have tried several times but to no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.
