Over the weekend the Eastern Shore was hit with a bad storm. We lost electricity for a few minutes and I was baking chicken at the time. Now I am unable to use the oven - when I press the bake or boiler pads, the lock light blinks red. I am unable to set the oven temperature. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.

0 same thing happened to me this morning - range not used in a few years and was bought new in 2004. when we hit bake or broil then the lock light blinks and no further control input is allowed. the clear button stops the blinking lock light.

0 I had to have a service technician come to the house (through Maytag)to replace the whole control panel. My range was also purchased in 2004 - the part was still covered under the warranty, but not the labor. Try unplugging the range for a few minutes and then plugging it back in again to see if the problem is still there. Maytag walked me through this before they sent a technician out to my house. Thanks for your response.
