I have a Maytag electric smoothtop double oven range Precision Touch 750 series, and need to know if this range is an electro-magnetic induction type of cookk top. The reason is that the new pressur-cooker pot I just bought says it cannot be used on an magnetic induction type of range since it is made of aluminum, and that only steel or iron based cookware can be used on this type of range. I looked through the range manual but did not find any such statement about not being able to use aluminum type of cookware, but need to find out the real answer.

0 it's hidden in Maytag's manuals...don't used pots with ridges on the bottom, they should be smooth, non aluminium (marks the glass). jc
