One of the hitting element will start only on No9 ...

One of the hitting element will start only on No9 of the hitting scale, and it is gone after few seconds. Will not start again, only when is cool and for few seconds again. Should this be repaired or hob must be replaced. Hob, ceramic KM 443 is 10 years old
